AlpiStats

Terms of service and sale

Version of 17 October 2026

This translation is provided for information. The French version is legally binding.

These terms govern the use of the AlpiStats service (the "service"), provided by Ekylibr SA (Ekytec), Avenue du Mail 18, CP 389, 2002 Neuchâtel, Switzerland ("we", "us"), to any person or organisation that creates an account (the "customer").

1. The service

AlpiStats measures the visits to the customer’s websites without cookies and only after their visitors’ consent: the customer installs a script on their sites; the visit data is cleaned by our gateway, then collected, processed, stored and backed up in Switzerland. The customer views their statistics in the application, by email or as a PDF, and can share them.

Uptime monitoring is included in all plans and enabled by default for each site; the customer can disable it site by site in the settings. Every 5 minutes, a probe loads the public page indicated (the home page by default) from Switzerland and checks that it responds; it loads only that page and identifies itself with the user agent “AlpiStats-Monitor/1.0”. This monitoring is an information service, measured from Switzerland only.

The service evolves: we may add, change or remove features, without significantly reducing what is included in the plan subscribed to during the paid period.

Google Search (Search Console): at the customer’s instruction, AlpiStats imports for a site the statistics that Google Search Console makes available for the property the customer has authorised (queries, pages, countries, devices, clicks, impressions, positions). To do so, the customer adds AlpiStats’ service account as a user with “Restricted” access (read-only) in their own Google account and proves that they control the domain (active collection subdomain or DNS record). This connection installs no Google tag on the site and does not send Google the events collected by AlpiStats; it involves technical exchanges between AlpiStats’ server and Google’s APIs (authentication, requested property and period). The imported queries and pages are kept in Switzerland for 6 months, the totals by day, country and device for 25 months; everything is deleted when the customer disconnects the property or deletes the site. The customer can also remove the access in the Search Console: the import stops, and they erase the history by disconnecting the property in AlpiStats. Google publishes these figures with a delay of about 3 days and they are not comparable with the visits measured by AlpiStats. They do not appear on a public share link unless the customer expressly enables it.

Organisations opened by a partner for its own customers (for example BeMyTalent) are governed by the contract between that partner and us; these terms apply to accounts created directly on AlpiStats.

2. Account

The customer provides a valid email address and confirms it; they keep their credentials confidential and are responsible for the use of their account. They may invite other people (owners or readers) to their organisation.

By creating their account, the customer accepts these terms and the data processing agreement, which forms part of them.

The customer can export their account data and delete the account at any time from "My account".

3. Trial, plans and prices

Free 30-day trial, no card required, up to 5 sites.

PlanSitesMonthlyYearlyFair use
Standardup to 5CHF 8.–CHF 60.–100,000 page views per month
Proup to 20CHF 12.–CHF 120.–500,000 page views per month

Prices are in Swiss francs. As Ekylibr SA is not subject to VAT, no VAT is charged. Payment is made in advance by card, through Stripe; we neither receive nor store card data.

A change of plan or billing period during a period is calculated pro rata. Promotional codes may be offered; they cannot be combined unless stated otherwise.

If the number of sites exceeds that of the plan (for example after a switch from Pro to Standard), we notify the customer; if this is not corrected within 14 days, collection for the excess sites, starting with the most recently added, is stopped until it is corrected.

Beyond fair use, collection is not cut off: we get in touch to suggest a suitable plan.

We may change the prices with 30 days’ notice; the new price applies from the next renewal.

4. Duration and cancellation

The monthly subscription renews every month, the yearly subscription every year. The customer may cancel at any time: cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, with no refund for the current period.

If a payment is declined, Stripe makes further attempts and the service remains active; if the payment does not go through, the account is treated as an account without a subscription.

Without a subscription at the end of the trial or of the paid period, the dashboard is locked; collection continues for 30 days to avoid a gap in the data, then stops. Without a subscription after 90 days, the account, its sites and their data are deleted, after a warning by email 14 days beforehand.

We may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms (in particular the prohibited use described in article 6), after formal notice except in urgent cases.

5. The customer’s obligations towards their visitors

The customer is responsible for the processing of their visitors’ data. For each site, they choose the measurement mode (Essential or Complete). In both modes, measurement only takes place after the visitor’s prior consent, in the same way for all visitors, Swiss and European alike: after a refusal, a withdrawal or the expiry of the choice (6 months), nothing is measured any more. The customer displays the AlpiStats banner, or links their own consent banner to AlpiStats, and permanently keeps the badge or the link allowing consent to be withdrawn. They inform their visitors in their privacy policy (we provide a sample text).

The statistics only cover visitors who have accepted measurement; they are not an exhaustive count of visits. The customer remains responsible for the obligations specific to their site, their activity and any sensitive data they may process.

The relationship between the customer and us regarding this data is governed by the data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms.

The customer alone decides whether to enable public sharing of their statistics, email reports and API keys, and is responsible for their use (recipients, safekeeping of keys).

6. Prohibited use

  • sending personal data in events, page addresses or parameters (names, emails, phone numbers, customer identifiers, etc.);
  • measuring sites the customer does not control or without the agreement of the person in charge of them;
  • bypassing or hiding the banner, the blocking of measurement before consent, or the visitor’s withdrawal, or measuring visitors whose consent is not valid;
  • artificially generating traffic, bypassing technical limits or disrupting the service;
  • using the service for an unlawful activity.

The gateway removes the personal data it recognises, but this does not relieve the customer of their obligation.

7. Availability and backups

We do our best to keep the service available and back up the data every night (encrypted backups in Switzerland, kept for 30 days at most). During the launch phase, the service is hosted on a single server: no availability is guaranteed. Planned interruptions are announced in advance where possible.

For uptime monitoring, we make no commitment on the availability of the customer’s site or on the delay before alerts are sent. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the consequences of a missed or late alert.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to proven direct damage and to the amount paid by the customer during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the damage; it is excluded for indirect damage (loss of profit, loss of visit data that has not been backed up, damage to reputation). Liability for wilful misconduct and gross negligence is reserved.

9. Ownership

The customer remains the owner of their data and statistics. The service, the application and the AlpiStats brand belong to us; AlpiStats is based on the open-source software Umami (MIT licence).

10. Changes to the terms

We may change these terms; significant changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance. A customer who does not accept the new terms may cancel before they come into force.

11. Governing law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Neuchâtel, subject to the mandatory places of jurisdiction provided by law (in particular for consumers).
